My Dad’s Pictures From WWII
Authored by K.F. Kirwin
This book is just pictures taken at the end of WWII 1945-1947, by my Dad. They have never been published before. He used the gun film he could get from airplanes. The Pima Air Museum in Tucson, Arizona helped identify some of the pictures in this book. The rolls of film were poorly stored with rubber bands that had melted and paperclips that had rusted. There are many pictures with double exposures which give them an interesting effect. I hope you enjoy seeing life through the eyes of an airman; stationed far from home. These are my Dads ghosts.

It’s not often we are able to see through the eyes of those long gone but thanks to Kitty’s brilliant book, we can. Imagine what it must have been like to be in such a surreal situation, during a terrible and fascinating time in history, through the eyes of one man with a determination to record it. For anyone interested in history, this book is a treasure. It would make a great gift for Father’s Day or for a grandparent, and it’s a bargain at $25, click on the link for more information.
