Another response in from this morning’s post, inviting you to tell me about your favourite place, what you love about it and why.  Thanks very much ‘daywhite’ for your answer and for giving me a somewhere new to put on my list of places to see.  You talked about a small cottage, and the inn featured in the photo is a little grand for that, but the setting is wonderful.  Mendocino, California named by the roving Spanish - a place that appears to have it all; dramatic coastline, beaches, cliffs with commanding view, grassy headlands, lush valleys and majestic mountains with mild Pacific coastal weather.  Artists and musicians and others have settled here to add to the ecclectic charm of this Californian jewel.
