“They simple couldn’t understand though, why I didn’t go the way of the Maple Leaf, do it through Canadian channels and in the Canadian manner. I thought explanatin would help (diverst yourself of this idea when dealing with bureaucracy) and explained that I didn’t do it the Canadian way BECAUSE I DIDN’T RESIDE IN CANADA!!! Now this was a tricky sticking point for some reason.”
