Unlike singers of the St. Louis Blues, Algy just loves to see the evening sun go down :) On fine evenings around midsummer Algy spends hours in his tree, just watching as the sun sinks below the horizon and the sky and sea begin to glow.
The Glenelg/Kylerhea ferry, last manually operated turntable remaining in Scotland. Now, this is a journey not to be missed; the long and achingly beautiful journey down into Glenelg (with iron age settlements, beaches and a feeling of I’ve left all that I know behind to hold you there for a while), throwing your fate into the tidal flow on the small ferry, and then the winding and dramatic single track road from Kylerhea to the main road on Skye. If you’re ever there, just do it, don’t even think twice.
